Everything you need to know for a holiday at Seecamping Berghof
Arrival & Departure
You can check‑in from 11:00 AM. Pitches are ready from 12:00 noon and holiday home / mobile home accommodations from 3:00 PM.
Gate access to the camping area is possible until 10:00 PM.
Pitches must be cleared by 11:00 AM / accommodations by 10:00 AM.
Regular departure can start from 8:00 AM.
Yes – if you’ve already paid the day before, you can depart from 7:00 AM. Departure earlier than 7:00 AM is not possible.
Yes, you can enter the campsite until 10:00 PM. After that time, entry is closed.
Booking & Minimum Stay
In the summer season, reservations are possible from 7 nights. In the off season from 3 nights.
Without a reservation you can also stay for only 1 night.
No — short‑stay and walk‑in pitches are only given on site and cannot be booked in advance.
No — you can choose freely (based on availability).
For accommodations in the main season, there are fixed arrival/departure days (Saturday & Sunday). In the off seasons, they’re flexible.
Yes, you can choose a specific pitch and book it as a fixed pitch.
Deposit & Payment
Yes — a deposit is required to secure your reservation.
For camping stays of 3 nights or more, it’s usually 30 % of the total price. For very short stays (1–2 nights), often the full amount is charged in advance.
For accommodatins you have to pay 50% of the total price in advanced.
You’ll find a button in your booking offer email that takes you to the payment tool — you can pay safely online by credit card or instant bank transfer.
The remaining amount is paid on site at reception at departure — easy and uncomplicated.
No — without the deposit, the booking is not final and may be given to someone else.
If you cancel your booking, the cancellation terms set out in your quote or in the booking policy will apply. In many cases, part or all of the deposit will be retained, depending on how close to the date of arrival the cancellation is made.
Invoice & Guest portal
Yes, you can view your invoice through your personal guest portal.
You will find a link to the portal in your booking confirmation.

Pitches & Facilities
One unit per pitch: either one caravan, one motorhome, or one tent. Your car must be parked on the pitch, too.
Small additional tents are also permitted (extra charge).
All equipment must fit on the booked pitch.
Yes — every pitch has a CEE power connection (mostly 6 A, some 16 A on request / extra charge).
Yes — charcoal or gas grills are allowed. Electric grills only on pitches with 16 A
No — open fires or bonfires are not permitted.
Most pitches are equipped with a 6-amp supply; selected pitches also have a 16-amp supply (at an additional cost).
Yes — small extra tents or awnings are allowed as long as they fit within the pitch area.
An awning is included in the pitch price. Additional tents are available at an extra charge.
Sanitary, Services & Infrastructure
Yes — modern bathrooms, showers, kids’ bathing areas and rentable private bathrooms are available.
Yes — washing machines and dryers are available for a fee.
Yes — wastewater and chemical toilet disposal stations are provided.
Yes — a large SPAR market is right on the camping site for everyday needs, and fresh bread & pastries are available daily.
Fresh bread rolls and pastries are available every day at our Spar supermarket for you to pick up yourself.
No delivery service.
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi available throughout the campsite.
Food & Drinks
Yes — the campsite’s own restaurant serves traditional regional dishes with a light, modern touch.
Yes — there’s the SPAR market and a small beach pavilion which is open mid‑June to mid‑September.
Lake, Swimming & Leisure
Yes — the campsite has direct access to Lake Ossiach with two large bathing areas, piers, a non‑swimmer zone and lawns.
Yes, there are two areas for swimming and sunbathing right by the lake.
Yes — SUPs, inflatable boats, etc. are welcome. Please bring them back to your pitch after use.
Families & Kids
Yes — it’s especially family‑friendly with multiple playgrounds (many right by the lake), indoor play and climbing areas, kids’ lounges and a big outdoor play area.
Yes, there are suitable swimming areas for families too.
Yes — in the holiday periods there’s a fun animation program for kids from about age 5.
Yes — beautiful paths around the lake and in nearby forests.
Yes, we’re happy to provide tips on places of interest, cycling and walking routes, and leisure activities in the region.
Water sports
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own equipment. Equipment is also available for hire on site during the school holidays.
Yes, fishing is permitted at Lake Ossiach. Please note that a valid fishing licence is required.
We have our own fishing hut on the west beach, and fishing is permitted there. Fishing is prohibited in the rest of the area (beach and shoreline).
Electricity, air conditioning & electric cars
Yes, air conditioning is permitted during the day.
There is a curfew between 10 pm and 9 am – air conditioning must not be used during this time.
No, charging electric cars at standard power points is not permitted.
Barbecuing & safety
Yes, barbecuing with charcoal or gas is permitted.
Electric barbecues are only permitted on pitches with a 16-amp supply.
No, open fires and campfires are not permitted on the campsite.
Cycling & Mountain Biking
Absolutely — there’s a scenic 28 km bike path ideal for relaxed family tours or sporty rides.
Yes — the surrounding mountains offer numerous trails for beginners and experienced riders. Tour suggestions are available at reception.
The Alban Berg Trail runs right past our campsite.
Yes — you can charge your e‑bike at your pitch.
Yes — there’s a bike rental station on site with touring and e‑bikes.
Yes — right next to the campsite is the lake.bike Family Playground with a pump track, perfect to practice balance and skills — and it’s free for our guests!
Excursions & Nature
There are many great local attractions around the lake, like wildlife parks and boat trips and more.

Mobility
Yes! There is a bus stop right outside the campsite. From here, buses run regularly to Villach and other nearby towns.
There are limited services at night and at weekends.
Yes, there are two hire cars and a Vespa available right at the campsite. This allows you to explore the surrounding area with complete flexibility.
Yes, we recommend booking hire cars or Vespas in advance at reception, particularly during the high season, as numbers are limited.
Bookings can ONLY be made on site. No advance bookings by telephone!
The bus stop is right next to the campsite, and the journey to Villach takes about 30 minutes.
Yes! You can also make use of the boat service. Our campsite has its own jetty, from which you can take a boat to local attractions and other places around Lake Ossiach. It’s ideal for a relaxing trip on the water.
Dogs & Pets
In main season (July & August) dogs are not permitted.
In the off seasons, they are allowed with restrictions, and must be leashed.
Pets are generally not allowed in accommodations.
Yes, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
Groups & Visitors
Yes — visitors are welcome but must be registered at reception. A daily visitor fee applies.
The site focuses on families, active adults, couples and seniors. Small groups are welcome in the off seasons. Groups of only young adults under 23 are not accepted.
Gas & Gas testing
Yes, you can have gas bottles refilled at our supermarket.
Yes. In Austria, a valid gas inspection in accordance with ÖNORM EN 1949 and inspection guidelines G 107/G 607 is mandatory.
Please bring the inspection certificate with you – failure to provide valid proof may result in liability issues.
