Experience the new Kanzelbahn II from 23 October 2026

There is something new to discover on the Gerlitzen Alpe this autumn: the new Kanzelbahn II will start operating on 23 October! A modern 10-person gondola will take you from Kanzelhöhe directly towards the summit at 1,911 metres above sea level.

From 23 October to 1 November, both sections of the Kanzelbahn are scheduled to operate daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. At the top, you can enjoy wonderful views of Carinthia’s mountains and lakes – perfect for an autumn outing with the family or as a couple.

There is good news for guests travelling with dogs or bicycles, too: during the autumn holiday period, dogs, bicycles and paragliding backpacks can be transported free of charge.

Our tip for your autumn holiday: Take the opportunity to try out the new cable car during the autumn holidays and enjoy an excursion high above Lake Ossiach.

You can find all the latest information about operating hours and tickets on the official Gerlitzen Alpe website.

Please note that operating times may change depending on weather conditions.
